Cupcake Toppers

I got a last minute order for some cupcake toppers - little Miss Rosabella is starting a new school on Monday, and her mom will be sending some cupcakes with to school - she wanted a topper for each cupcake, something to say "with love from Rosabella" - and i had to make 35 of them...  I had so many beautiful ideas, I ended up giving her 8 different designs, but this is the one that she picked:

These are very plain and simple - just a little heart with her name - for the back i used dark and light pink cardstock...

I'll be delivering these tomorrow - here's a pic of them all packed and ready to go:

So while i was busy packing this order - I realised that i have no "thank you" tags or anything to add onto my bag - so I designed my own tag quickly - this can be used on anything, and I can cut it whichever shape i need it (this was actually one of the backgrounds i suggested for the cupcake topper, but she didn't pick this one - and i LOVED it, so i thought i would use it for my tag):

Now all i need is a piece of ribbon or bakers twine, or a wooden peg...

This was probably the quickest order i've ever done - i got the enquiry last night, came up with some designs this morning, got the go ahead by lunchtime, made the toppers this evening, and will be delivering them tomorrow morning - all in a days work!!!

Oh Christmas Tree

I know we're only halfway thru the year, but I thought I would share something "chrismassy" today...  December is my favourite time of the year...  Last year i did my very first "off the page" project, and i was very proud of myself that i stepped out of my comfort zone of just scrapbooking and tried something totally different...

My idea was to create a Christmas tree that would stand on a little platform and i wanted the tree to turn slowly, but i couldn't figure out how to do that, so i ended up just making the tree (still on a platform, but not moving)...

I painted the wooden tree green and then added some different coloured Christmas paper to the sides - I added some bling and a string of pearls for decorations...

In this picture you can see the little wooden base that i used, which i just ended up decorating with some detailed ribbon - this was suppose to be the rotating block...  The fence was cut using my Silhouette, i had to cut about 4 layers for each section of the fence, and glue it all together to make it more sturdy - then i added some little red roses, some beaded ribbon - and voila!!!

And what would a Christmas tree be without the presents!!!  This was the fun part - making all the tiny little presents and i even added some Christmas crackers - a lot of detail went into this project, but i loved every minute of it...

And to finish it all off, i added a signboard "twas the night before Christmas"...  I wrapped the little roses all around the pole of the sign, to create the effect of the roses growing up against the pole (the same i did with the fence) - like a little creeper...

I ended up using this tree as the centre piece for my Christmas table - and i'll probably use it for years to come...

I'll be back with some more party decorations soon - so watch this space!!!

Baby Shower

A couple of months ago i was asked by one of my colleagues to make some decorations for a baby shower she was hosting - it was actually for her first grandchild...  I had a lot of fun doing this - the theme was butterflies and bows...

The baby shower was held at her house and they set up outside in the beautiful tree-filled garden...  I die cut loads of butterflies from glitter cardstock and attached some ribbon - these were all hanging from the branches, creating a magical atmosphere - unfortunately i have no pictures from the actual party, i've only got the pics of all the goodies that i made...  These butterflies they've used afterwards to decorate baby Sienna's bedroom....

I also made a sample of this little pillow box, but we ended up not using this - i still think it's super cute - i'm sure i'll be able to use this again for something else...

Instead of using regular confetti on the tables, i made these little pink pacifiers with ribbon to scatter all over the show:

We also had these 3D butterflies on the inside and outside walls - i love these - this was cut with my Silhouette:

I also cut some baby onesies, with baby Siennas name on the front - this was hung on a ribbon "clothes line" - each guest had to write something on the inside i.e. some advice, or maybe a babysitting voucher...

And last, but not least, one last picture of all the goodies, packed and ready to be delivered...

I'll be back again with some more party pics soon...

Scrapbook Pages

I wanted to share some pictures of scrapbook pages i've done...  It was my cousin, Sharon, who got me into scrapbooking, and now i'm addicted...  I love buying ready made kits from my local scrapbooking shop, but every now and then i also love creating my own pages...  I find it relaxing, and once the creative juices start flowing, there's just no stopping me - we all have that one thing that we love to do, and this is definitely mine...  Don't ask me to go running or cycling, I will cry!!!  But this, I can sit for hours and do this...

We have a gazillion baby pictures from when Aiden was born, and I've been wanting to use them to make some lay outs, but i just don't get round to doing it...  This was one of the very first ones I did  - paper and embellishments from the Making Memories Pitter Patter Range:

I've also entered a couple of scrapping competitions - this was the first competition I entered - you got a pack with a couple of different colours of paper, some embellishments and a page map, and you had to come up with your own design - this is what I did, and I won:

The other competition I entered was based on 2-4-6-8-10 - you were allowed to use 2 pages, 4 colours, 6 bling / brads, 8 letter title & 10 point journalling...  I sat for days thinking about this one, trying to come up with something to do, but eventually I came up with this - i won this competition as well:

This one was definitely one of my favourite lay outs I've done so far...

I'll share some more scrapbook pages another time...

Smurf Party

A couple of weeks ago, we did a Smurf Party - don't you just love the little blue people - here are some pics of the items I made, and some pictures from the actual party...

The Smurf Invites - personalised for each guest:

The goodie box - just a standard party box, I've added some grass, a smurf figurine and the childs name (cut out on my Silhouette):

Some more goodie boxes:

I got some cute free printable cupcake toppers off the internet, and this was the result:

There was also two table centre pieces - here's a pic of what it looked like at the party:

The beautiful birthday cake  (no, I didn't make it) and some yummy cupcakes - check out the cupcake wrappers - the word "smurfalicious" is cut out on the wrapper...

And last, but not least, we have the Thank you bags - a white paper bag made to look like a little smurf house - i was looking for ideas on what to make and i found another blogger who made something similar to this for her little girls party - such a cute idea...

For those who don't know, when I say "we" that means Olivia and I...  Olivia has her own events company called "Cream Little Events" - she is the mastermind behind each and every party, so next time you want to plan a party, give us a call...

I love making all these party goodies, but the best part is to see it all come together in the end...  Olivia is normally the one with the vision, she comes to me and tells me what she's planning, what her ideas are and what she wants - I make the "paper" goodies for her, the rest she does all by herself...  I take my hat off to her, she takes care of every little detail...

Another successful party - check...

Today I was "playing around" on pinterest and came across the cutest idea for a teacher gift - I've bought the items I need, and will hopefully be starting my project tomorrow - that's all I'm saying for now, so check back again to see what I've made...

More Pinkalicious goodies

Finally all the Pinkalicious party goodies are finished - the party is tomorrow!!!  Here are some pictures of the Cupcake Toppers:

These cute little tags will go on the party bags:

This is definitely  my favourite - the rosettes!!!  On the back of each chair there will be a rosette with the childs name on it - isn't this just too cute...

I can't wait to see what it's going to look like when it all comes together...  I love girly parties, and of course my favourite colour - PINK...

Hopefully i'll be able to show some pics soon from the actual party...

Pinkalicious Party Goodies

So i've been a busy little bee lately, busy working on some party goodies for a Pinkalicious Party...  Here are some super cute bags I've made for the goodie bags - just a normal white paper bag that i've "dressed up" with some fringe layers - to create the Ombre effect (this is the first time I even heard of this name, but one is never to old to learn)...

Each bag will have a cute little label, clipped on with a wooden peg...

The inspiration for these bags came from this picture:

And add some pinkalicious girly cut outs - gonna make cupcake toppers out of these - this is going to be a super cute party...

Also working on cupcake wrappers, some more toppers, a backdrop, and a couple of other fun things...  I'll post some more pics once everything is done...

So off to bed for me now - who knows what tomorrow has in store for us...
